About: Certified Pre-Owned Phones

Overview

A Certified Pre-Owned phone is a phone that has been returned to us in good working order and has been inspected and verified to be in good-as-new condition.

Every Certified Pre-Owned phone package will include:

  1. Certified Pre-Owned phone.

  2. A Freedom SIM Card.

  3. Charging Cable.

Our inventory of Certified Pre-Owned devices is limited. Devices are available on a first come, first served basis. Shop Certified Pre-Owned devices.

Testing and Inspection

Our Certified Pre-Owned Phones are run through a series of diagnostics and inspections to ensure all original manufacturers’ components are both functionally and cosmetically up-to-standard, including:

  • Factory Reset - The phone is erased of any prior information. The phone is reset to Factory Settings.

  • Connectivity - Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are checked; Test calls are placed to ensure connections are seamless.

  • Audio - Microphone, earpiece, and loudspeaker are checked to ensure proper talking and listening volumes.

  • Camera - Flash, video, lenses, and front and rear cameras are tested to ensure they're all functioning well.

  • Display - Display screen and touchscreen are tested to ensure there are no dead pixels and that all gestures are properly detected.

  • Sensors – All included sensors are checked (i.e., light, gyroscope and accelerometer) to ensure optimal performance.

  • Buttons & Menu Keys - These are all individually inspected to ensure they are functioning properly.

Important: We sanitize all Certified Pre-Owned Phones prior to shipment.

Warranty

Every purchase of a Certified Pre-Owned phone includes a limited warranty for any manufacturers defects valid for a period of up to 12 months from the date of purchase.

Return Policy

If you find that you and your new Certified Pre-Owned phone aren’t a perfect match within 15 days of purchase, return your phone to the store where you made your purchase and we will provide a refund or an exchange, as long as:

  • you have not used more than 50% of the monthly data included with your service, and

  • the Phone is in like new condition, including the original packaging, accessories, and receipt.

Freedom Mobile provides an extended 30-day trial period for customers who self-identify as having a disability.


Charges

If you return the phone or cancel your services within 15 days, no early cancellation fee will not be charged; however, youll still be responsible for all services used including any prorated amounts for your plan from the activation date to the return date, as well as any pay-per-use charges such as long-distance calls and roaming fees.

Top-up vouchers used for Prepaid accounts, including one-time fees (e.g. connection fees) are not eligible for refunds.


Purchases made online/via Customer Care


If your phone was ordered online or with Customer Care, you will receive a return shipping label with the delivery of your product– just follow the enclosed instructions to ship the phone back to Freedom to process the return or exchange.
