Freedom 5G Home Internet Additional Terms of Service

Effective as of December 2, 2025

1. General

These additional terms and conditions (“Additional Terms”), in conjunction with the Terms of Service, set out specific terms and conditions applicable to the Freedom 5G Home Internet Service (“5G Home Internet”).

Capitalized terms used herein and not defined shall have the meaning set out in the Terms of Service.

2. How do I accept these Additional Terms?

You acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Additional Terms when you apply for 5G Home Internet by any means including online or over the phone.

If you do not agree to the Terms of Service or these Additional Terms, you may not use 5G Home Internet.

3. What is the Order Confirmation Email and how does it fit in your Services Agreement?

After you apply for 5G Home Internet, if your application has been accepted by Freedom, Freedom will send you an email confirming your order with information relating to those services and attaching your Services Agreement (“Order Confirmation Email”). The Order Confirmation Email provides a summary description of the Services and service features that you have ordered and lists the applicable charges.

Similarly, if you change your 5G Home Internet subscription or add a service feature, we will send you an Order Confirmation Email confirming the change and changes to your charges going forward and updating your Services Agreement accordingly.

All Order Confirmation Emails for 5G Home Internet that are in effect (i.e. not canceled or superseded by a subsequent Order Confirmation Email) form part of your Services Agreement.

If you discover an error in the information contained in an Order Confirmation Email, please contact Freedom through the points of contact set out in your Services Agreement. Otherwise, if you do not agree with the information contained in an Order Confirmation Email, you may not use 5G Home Internet.

4. What is 5G Home Internet?

5G Home Internet provides internet connectivity to your home using a cellular network instead of traditional cable or fibre, without the need for additional fixed wires directly into your home.

5. Are there any eligibility requirements to receive 5G Home Internet?

Yes. Eligibility for 5G Home Internet depends on several factors. When you apply for 5G Home Internet, Freedom will check the address of your premises for service availability.

In order to maintain 5G Home Internet, your account must continue to have at least one Freedom mobile Line. If, at any time, it does not, you will be charged the regular unbundled price for your 5G Home Internet for three (3) months, after which your 5G Home Internet will be cancelled. At the time of cancellation, you must pay any unpaid MyTab Balance and TradeUp Return Value on your Nokia Gateway. Please see the MyTab Additional Terms of Service and the TradeUp Additional Terms of Service for more details.

6. Where can I find information and pricing for 5G Home Internet?

Our website freedommobile.ca provides information and pricing for 5G Home Internet service packages and any optional service features that may be available. That website also describes the terms of any promotions that may apply to 5G Home Internet.

7. What Device is required to use 5G Home Internet?

5G Home Internet requires a Nokia Gateway, which is a combined modem and router.

8. Is this Device rented or purchased?

You agree to purchase the Nokia Gateway as described in your Services Agreement.

From time to time, software updates may be automatically downloaded to, and installed on, the Nokia Gateway. These software updates are necessary for the continued and reliable delivery of 5G Home Internet. By subscribing to 5G Home Internet, you consent to the download and installation of such updates. If you do not agree to the downloading and installation of these software updates, your only remedy is to cancel 5G Home Internet.

9. Do I return my Device to Freedom if my Services are cancelled?

No, you have purchased the Nokia Gateway and so there is no need to return it to Freedom when your services are cancelled. However, you must pay any unpaid MyTab Balance and TradeUp Return Value on your Nokia Gateway at the time that you cancel. Please see the MyTab Additional Terms of Service and the TradeUp Additional Terms of Service for more details.

10. Are there any limits to my use of the 5G Home Internet Service or Device?

Yes. In addition to the limits set out in the Terms of Service and the Fair Usage Policy, your 5G Home Internet Service and Device must only be used at the approved address for 5G Home Internet. If you’d like to use your 5G Home Internet Service and Device at any other location, you must first contact Freedom to check if the 5G Home Internet Service and Device may be used at that other location and then you may only use the Service and Device at that other location with our written permission.

The Nokia Gateway is a data-only device. You cannot use it to make any voice calls or send text messages.

You must only use the SIM card pre-inserted into the Nokia Gateway with that Device and you must not use that SIM card in any other Device.

Any usage of 5G Home Internet Service or Device in contravention of this section will be subject to suspension or cancellation of your 5G Home Internet in accordance with Section 7 of the Terms of Service.

11. What is the speed of my 5G Home Internet plan?

The speed of your plan is described in your Services Agreement. Any speeds indicated are "up to" and based on optimal network, equipment, and customer device conditions. Actual speeds experienced may vary based on various factors, including placement of the Nokia Gateway within your home, network coverage, signal strength, home construction materials, location, customer device capability, internet traffic, topography and environmental conditions. Service availability is based on where access / technology permits. See the Fair Usage Policy for more information.

12. Can Freedom make changes to 5G Home Internet?

Yes. Any changes to 5G Home Internet will be made in accordance with Section 3 of the Terms of Service.

13. Can I change my 5G Home Internet service package or service features?

Yes. You may change your 5G Home Internet service package and request to add, remove or change certain service features by contacting Freedom through the points of contact set out in your Services Agreement.

14. What is Freedom’s policy for 5G Home Internet Service interruptions?

You are entitled to a credit if your 5G Home Internet Service is interrupted and unusable for at least 48 consecutive hours. You may request a refund in writing within 15 days of the end of the interruption. You are not entitled to any other compensation. The amount of the credit will be prorated based on the duration of the interruption, in the following manner: Monthly price of the service divided by the number of days included in the billing period and then multiplied by the number of days of service interruption.

However, you are not entitled to a credit if the interruption is caused by:

a work stoppage;

an act of vandalism;

an order from the police or any other law enforcement agency forcing us to interrupt your Service;

any other event of force majeure or circumstances beyond our control or beyond the control of a Freedom partner service provider.

15. Internet Code

The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (the "CRTC") has created an Internet Code so that consumers of retail internet access services will be better informed of their rights and obligations contained in contracts with internet service providers. You can find out more about the Internet Code on the CRTC website at www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/internet/code.htm.
