How To: Manage Users on your Account

Overview

As the Account Holder, you can add and remove users on your account, if you have additional lines to assign to them.


We offer the following user types to help you to manage your account:

  • Account Holder

  • Authorized User

  • Device User

Account User Types

The account holder is the owner of the account.

  • For Postpaid service, the account holder is the person approved through a credit check.

  • For Prepaid service, it’s the person who completed the initial account setup.

To change the account holder, the service must be transferred to a new owner. Learn more about how to transfer ownership of your service.

Authorized users can request changes to their own service number as well as other service numbers on the account. They can also consent to additional charges or approve changes to key contract terms and conditions.

Device users only have access to their associated service number. They cannot request support for other lines on the account, approve additional charges or make changes to key contract terms and conditions.

Managing Users in My Account

You can manage the users on your account directly in My Account. Once you’re signed in, follow the steps below to add a user:

  1. Navigate to My Profile section, scroll down Create a New User.

  2. Enter the new user’s information, including the user type.

  3. Assign the user to a number by selecting the line from the options and click Save.

Once you click Save, the new user will be added, and a PIN will be sent to the email associated with their contact information.
