About: MyTab

Overview

The MyTab program allows you to reduce your upfront cost of buying a device, and maximize your savings, while taking advantage of our monthly payment structure.

MyTab provides you with the flexibility to decide how much you pay upfront, which in turn automatically adjusts the amount you pay monthly. As a bonus, if you are trading in an eligible device, you can apply the trade-in value directly against either your upfront or monthly payment amount!

Eligibility

MyTab eligibility is determined by a credit check, so you’ll need to have a valid credit card and government issued photo ID. You can get started, in-store, online or with Customer Care.

Depending on your eligibility, you may qualify for more than one MyTab on your Postpaid account, but each line can only have one MyTab. If you don’t meet the requirements for Postpaid service, we also offer a deposit account option.

Managing your MyTab

Checking your balance

You'll see your current MyTab balance on your monthly bill. You can also check it anytime by logging in to MyAccount with your phone number and PIN.

You’ll find all the details of your MyTab, including your monthly payment amount and number of months left in your MyTab commitment in the Overview section of MyAccount.


Cancelling your service

While we hope you’ll give us a chance to change your mind, if you need to leave Freedom Mobile before your MyTab is paid off, you’re not locked in.

When you cancel, you’re cancelling your service only, your device is yours to keep! Instead of paying for your device monthly and receiving MyTab Savings, you’ll simply pay the remaining balance as a lump sum.

Once your service is cancelled, your outstanding MyTab balance will be charged to your account, and you’ll be responsible for paying the full amount.

If you made a prepayment at the time of activation, the prepayment balance will be applied towards any owing balance including the MyTab amount. Youll receive the exact amount at the time of cancellation.


Paying off your MyTab

With MyTab, you can make larger payments towards your MyTab balance anytime. Our Customer Care team can assist if you’d like to make an additional payment.


Transferring your MyTab balance

While you can’t transfer your MyTab balance, you can transfer the ownership of the line. You’ll just need to pay the remaining MyTab balance first.
