Overview

The MyTab program allows you to reduce your upfront cost of buying a device, and maximize your savings, while taking advantage of our monthly payment structure.

MyTab provides you with the flexibility to decide how much you pay upfront, which in turn automatically adjusts the amount you pay monthly. As a bonus, if you are trading in an eligible device, you can apply the trade-in value directly against either your upfront or monthly payment amount!

Eligibility

Eligibility is determined by a credit check, so make sure to bring a valid credit card and government issued photo ID when you visit a Freedom Mobile store to get a new device on MyTab.

Depending on your eligibility, you may qualify for more than one MyTab with Postpaid service but you can't have more than one MyTab per line. If you do not meet the requirements to activate Postpaid service, we also have the options for deposit accounts.

Managing your MyTab

Checking your balance

You'll see your current MyTab balance on your monthly bill. You can also check your MyTab balance at any time by logging in to My Account with your phone number and PIN.

You’ll find all details of your MyTab, including your monthly payment amount and number of months until your MyTab commitment ends in the Overview section of My Account.

Cancelling your service

While we hope you give us a chance to change your mind before you cancel, if you need to leave Freedom Mobile before you've paid off your MyTab it’s no problem as you’re not locked in.

When you cancel with Freedom, you are cancelling your service only, your device is yours! Instead of paying for your device and receiving MyTab Savings monthly, you are now simply paying the remaining balance as a lump sum amount.

Upon cancellation, your outstanding MyTab balance will be charged to your account; you will be responsible for paying for this full value. Exact cancellation amounts will be provided at the time of cancellation.

Paying off your MyTab

With MyTab, you have the option to make larger payments if you wish. Our Customer Care team can assist if you would like to make a payment towards your MyTab.

Transferring your MyTab balance

We’re sorry, but you cannot transfer your MyTab balance. You can transfer the ownership of the line, but you will need to pay the remaining MyTab balance first.
