About: Changing Your Plan

Overview

You can change your plan at any time, but only once per billing period. There may be special conditions to switch to one of our promotional plans.

The easiest way to change your plan is through My Account.

Postpaid Customers

If you are a Postpaid customer and you want to change your plan, there may be some adjustments on your next bill, including:

  • any prorated charges for your plan from the day you changed it to the end of that billing cycle

  • one full month's plan fee for the next complete month of service

  • a rate plan change fee may apply

  • any promotional credits or discounts associated with your previous plan will be discontinued.

Before making changes to your plan we recommend checking the MyTab Additional Terms of Service within our Terms of Service for possible impacts to your MyTab. Some or all your MyTab Balance may be charged if you downgrade to a plan that is not eligible for MyTab.

Prepaid Customers

If you are a Prepaid customer and you want to change your plan, you will have to top up the full plan amount of the new plan that you are changing to and your account has to be active at the time of change.

The prorated amount for the old plan (for any unused days) will be automatically returned to your balance after you change your plan.

Important: Freedom Prepaid By The Year plans are not eligible to receive prorated credits for unused days after a plan change.
