For the best experience while using our network we recommend using a newer SIM Card.

If you are not using a P6, P6A version or eSIM we recommend replacing your SIM card for a newer version.

SIM Card changes are limited to Account Holders and Authorized Users only.

SIM Card Versions

To confirm what version of SIM card you are using, you’ll need to check the back of the SIM card for the version number. Refer to your device manufacturer’s user guide for more information on how to access your SIM card:

If you are using a P6 SIM card, text “SIM” to 40001 to ensure you get the best experience of the Freedom Mobile network.

Changing a SIM Card in My Account

SIM Card changes are limited to Account Holders and Authorized Users only. Once multi-factor authentication has been completed, you can complete a SIM Card change in My Account.

Once logged into My Account, follow the steps below to complete a SIM Card change:

  1. Navigate to the Plan & Device section.

  2. Click Manage SIM/eSIM.

  3. Select between a Physical SIM or eSIM.

  4. Accept the terms and conditions and click Confirm & Change SIM.

Important: To complete a change to eSIM, you’ll need to confirm your device is eSIM compatible by entering your device’s IMEI.
