About: Visual Voicemail

Overview

Visual Voicemail is a subscription service that allows you to easily access your voicemail messages.

Visual Voicemail allows you to listen to and manage your voicemail messages directly from your compatible device without having to dial in. Voicemail messages are downloaded to your device, and you just tap on the message in the Voicemail tab from the Phone app to listen.

Access to Visual Voicemail

To access Visual Voicemail:

  1. You must subscribe to Visual Voicemail.

  2. Your Voicemail services must be set up.

  3. You must be using a compatible device.

Visual Voicemail will use the data from your plan. While roaming, Visual Voicemail can only be accessed through your mobile network's data connection - it cannot be accessed via Wi-Fi only. Roaming charges may apply.

Device Compatibility

Visual Voicemail is compatible with:

  • iPhone 5s or newer (with carrier bundle 32.1 or above)

  • Google Pixel (Pixel 2 or newer) with the Phone by Google app (version 53 or newer)

  • Android devices preinstalled with the Phone by Google app (version 53 or newer)

Device Set Up

To set up the Visual Voicemail service on your device, take the following steps:

  1. Go to the Phone app

  2. Tap the Voicemail tab, and

  3. Select Set Up Now and follow the onscreen prompts to set up your PIN and greeting.

Once Voicemail is set up on your device, just go to the Phone app, tap on the Voicemail tab and you will have immediate access to your Visual Voicemail service.

Subscribing in My Account

Take the following steps to subscribe to Visual Voicemail in My Account, once logged in:

  1. Navigate to the Add-Ons & Passes tab

  2. Scroll down to the available Add-Ons and select Visual Voicemail for the available options.

Troubleshooting Visual Voicemail

To receive Visual Voicemail messages, you must have access to a cellular network or have Wi-Fi Calling enabled. Visual Voicemail is not available over Wi-Fi only.

To troubleshoot issues accessing your Visual Voicemail:

  1. Confirm you are subscribed to the service.

  2. Confirm you have a compatible device.

  3. Confirm you have setup Voicemail on your device.

  4. Confirm you have paid your monthly subscription fee.

  5. Complete a power cycle by turning your phone off and on.
