How to enable Nationwide

Stay connected wherever you are in Canada so that you can surf, stream, and post as much as you want! To enable your data while on the Nationwide network, remember to update your phone settings and check to see if Nationwide data is already enabled in MyAccount by following these steps:

Step 1: Phone settings


iPhone

  1. Go to 'Settings'

  2. Select 'Cellular'

  3. Select 'Data Roaming'

  4. Toggle Roaming 'ON'

Android

  1. Go to 'Settings'

  2. Select 'Network & Internet'

  3. Select 'Mobile Network'

  4. Toggle Roaming 'ON'

Step 2: MyAccount

1. Log in to MyAccount.

2. Go to 'Plans & Add-Ons' and select 'Manage Features'

3. Under 'Nationwide Network', select 'Enable This Feature'.

4. Agree to the terms and conditions, then select 'Confirm'.

If your ‘Nationwide Network’ feature shows a checkmark, this means it’s already been enabled.

Freedom Network

When you’re within our network, your phone will display ‘Freedom’.You may be connected to 5G, Extended Range LTE or 3G networks depending on your location and device capabilities. This gives you the freedom to surf, stream and post as much as you want.

Nationwide Network

When traveling outside our 'Freedom' network in Canada, you'll be connected to one of our partner networks and your phone will display 'Nationwide'.

No Data Overage Fees

You never have to worry about data overage fees. Once you've used your data allotment for the month, you will still be able to use data at reduced speeds with no additional costs!

To help you keep track of your data usage, we’ll notify you when you are close to exceeding the levels of data outlined in your plan or add-on.

Please note: To avoid incurring unintended roaming charges when travelling outside of Canada, you must disable US and International Roaming features
